Festival Schedule
Imagine our communities in the
FUTURE TENSE.
What’s APAture?
APAture is Kearny Street Workshop’s annual multidisciplinary arts festival that presents and promotes art by local up-and-coming artists of Asian Pacific American descent. For thirteen seasons, the festival has sparked dialogue around contemporary social issues, especially those that affect Asian Pacific American communities, and inspired collaboration between artists and community members toward social action.
Is there a theme? What is it for this year?
The theme for this year is FUTURE TENSE. We’ve selected 65 artists to imagine what’s possible for the future, with particular interest in how social change might be exhibited in their work. What do you envision for our communities in the
future tense?
When and where is the festival?
APAture 2015 runs from October 2–17, 2015, at various locations throughout
San Francisco. Check out the full festival schedule here and get your festival passes here.
I love what you're doing, how can I help?
Contributions to our Indiegogo campaign will help us ensure that APAture 2015 will continue to provide spaces for emerging Asian Pacific American artists. We're also looking for day-of-event volunteers to make sure our artists and audiences have the best experience possible!
