KSWorskhop Series: Storytelling with Dhaya Lakshminarayanan (for artists, scientists, business people, nerds, performers, and even shy people)
Host of the Moth Storytelling Series, frequent guest on NPR's Snap Judgment, and the 2016 recipient of the Liz Carter Political Award (previously awarded to Wanda Sykes and Samantha Bee), Dhaya Lakshminarayanan, can spin a good yarn and believes that what does in front of audiences regularly as a comedian and storyteller can help anyone, even if they never want to perform. Whether it's the theater artist looking to improve their craft or the office worker who wants to become more persuasive as a presenter, the craft of storytelling has something to teach everyone.
Storytelling is an art and science and Dhaya believes the best way to learn is to do it and iterate. Each class will be about laughing, listening, moving, and engaging each other to find your particular strengths, develop your style, and increase confidence in your ability to speak in public.
note: If the class does not meet the minimum number of registered students it will be canceled.
