Renowned poet Cathy Park Hong (Engine Empire) will be joining acclaimed music writer Oliver Wang (Legions of Boom) to discuss the new narratives being forged today in Asian Pacific American literature.

Cathy Park Hong is poetry editor of The New Republic and an associate professor at Sarah Lawrence College. Her poems have been published inPoetryA Public SpaceParis ReviewMcSweeney'sBafflerBoston ReviewThe Nation, and other journals. Her latest collection is Engine Empire.

 

Oliver Wang aka “O-Dub” is a music writer, scholar, DJ, and author of the new book Legions of Boom: Filipino American Mobile DJ Crews in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a professor in sociology at Long Beach State, and hosts the renowned audioblog soul-sides.com.
