Interdisciplinary Writers Lab: 3 months, 3 genres, 3 writers
Kearny Street Workshop, in collaboration with California Institute of Integral Studies, is re-launching the Interdisciplinary Writers Lab (IWL), a 3-month, multi-genre master class for local writers scheduled for summer, 2015. IWL is a unique program that challenges emerging writers to thoroughly explore and develop their writing skills and styles across multiple genres.

2.) Submit your writing sample:

10 pages max (all genres); send as google doc, word doc, or pdf to IWL@kearnystreet.org

12-16 students will be selected from a juried pool of applications. Although IWL accepts applications from all interested students, the focus of this program has always been geared towards artists and writers of color, as this level of instruction has not always been available for these communities. It’s our hope that the students’ engagement in this program will prompt the further development of their craft.
