“Over the summer I was sitting in a bar in Philadelphia with the acclaimed poet, Patrick Rosal, and there was a thing he said that has continued to stick with me, that in between our first memory of something beautiful and our first memory of trauma is the legend, the key to our poetics." (Jason Bayani)
This two hour writing and performance workshop will help identify the symbols and images that define our lived experiences. We will create new work and then get on our feet as you will be introduced to some basic performance techniques and drills to help strengthen your ability to read in front of live audiences.
