Using her unique approach to sequential art and illustration, Ka Yan Cheung explores the lives of immigrants living in the US. Featuring the poetry of Vivian Liu and Li Xiu Zhen, members of the Chinese Progressive Association, Ka Yan’s work weaves together stories of displacement, oppressive labor conditions, and sexual identity through the lens of three different generations of Chinese women, and the community that binds them together.
